But the lower Ganges plain has a lot to offer as well. It is characterized by green, lush landscapes and especially the magnificent Hindu temple complexes in Orcha and Khajuraho. And everywhere you can hear music in the temples. Praying there gives us more of an impression of a celebration, the way it is so cheerfully performed. Near Khajuraho it is also worthwhile to extend your stay to visit the Panna National Park. At the end of this tour is Varanasi.
